October Somethings

It's a few days late but I enjoyed doing this last month.

Reading: For fun, I started the House of Night series, which just may be better than Twilight.  I'm just saying.  Right now I'm reading The Patron Saint of Liars (Ann Patchett) and I'm in the middle of South of Broad, which I started on the plane last weekend. For growth, Radical for the Radical Read Along continues with just a few chapters to go. I'm still not ready for Bittersweet to end.  (I read 6 books this month- getting closer to my goal of reading 100 books this year!)

On deck: Bird by Bird (Anne Lamott). Book #4 from House of Night. The Enneagram: A Christian Perspective for discussions with the Gat. Also have to review a book for BookSneeze.

TV: Chuck, Glee, Running Wilde, Parenthood, LA Ink, Vampire Diaries, The Office, and the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Who else was disappointed/flabbergasted by the Project Runway finale?

Movie: Invictus is an amazing movie.  I would strongly encourage everyone to watch it.  I liked it so much that I'm going to put it on my Christmas list.

In my kitchen: I tried a bunch of new recipes, which was fun.  The highlights were a zuchhini quiche and a slow-cooker pot roast that was so fork tender it almost made me weep with joy.

Listening:  Sleeping at Last's Yearbook project kicked off with a bang when October released, when else, October 1.  Be on the lookout for an interview I did with the SAL boys sometime soon.  I've just started to work on this year's Ode to Friendship Collection.  It's always fun listening to the year's musical obsessions and figuring out which song to feature on my mix.
